Got my tax appraisal today (Montgomery county). Market value went down but assessed value went up?

Yes I agree.
Protest it.
I tried "Ownwell " for the first time.
They were able to lower my taxes $23.00!
Yes $23.00 whole dollars.

But seriously, I think protesting it is usually a good idea.

Is that usually a legit appraisal? I received mine and it came out to $549k! Bought it 2 years ago for $450k!

O'Connor and Associates lowered mine to lower than 2024's value. And I have a new roof and gutters. I was very impressed.
