Fiddledede : Y'all be nice to Fiddledede! My comments were just a joke and meant in jest to tease and have a bit of fun.

That is frustrating..there's a guy down the street from us that I'm pretty certain is doing auto repairs out of his garage and always has about 4 vehicles in his driveway and another 4 or so clogging up the street, but he moves them all daily so I don't think there is much they can do or prove. Good luck with your issue.

A poster who posted this cannot see my reply, so someone can share it.
They have WAY too much power BUT they recently lost the ability to take away someone's home for back dues. Dont even get me started on HOA's. I loathed mine of 30 years. They take our money but you'll NEVER get an accounting of how they spend it.

HOAs have only the powers granted to them in the incorporation documents, deed restrictions, architectural guidelines, and those allowed by HOA laws in TX Property Code 209. HOAs have to provide where things are spent, and anyone can request copies of the financials. HOAs have to be audited. This poster who said above has said that she never attended HOA board meetings and was never involved. She is categorically misguided about HOAs and if she never got involved or asked the management company for financial documents, she has no standing to complain about this.

MGBguy : So maybe you do live in NW Hills! Haha! When we lived there years ago there was a renter than ran an engine repair shop out of his garage. The people that own the house were investors in CA and could care less about the property. Fun neighbors to have.
