rd213 : I cut down 3 large ones in my front yard and it never even occured to me to contact them. Glad that I did cut them down. They appeared to be unhealthy on the exterior but when cut down...way worse. The inside was so hollow the stump looked like a donut!
cbear : I'm in Greentree and we cut down two (one was half dead). Didn't advise HOA nor would I.
cbear : I remember seeing a navy blue house bricks and all with brown trim around here. The first thought was "wow, someone approved that combo".
I have seen homes in BB where they were painted a very strong blue color and in fact... they are side by side. They look dreadful.

Gigix4 : Home insurance does not cover dead trees if it falls on you or a neighbor. I'd take a pic of it and get a statement of it's condition and cut it down. Or maybe just ask the HOA to take it down ?
HOA question Do I need to contact HOA before cutting down a tree in my front yard? It's basically dead but really large.
rd213 : In Kings Forest, we did not need approval from the HOA to cut down dead trees, or any trees within 10 feet of the house foundation.
Kittle : Trailwood does not require approval by HOA. We've removed two large trees recently with no problems. « Back to Chat
