How can I get into the ticket room at 2:01 and there be no tickets available at all? It makes no sense to me that the tickets are all sold out prior to the public getting a chance.
Guess no rodeo for me this year!

Resellers have all the tickets and will be happy to sell them to you at a huge markup. It should be prohibited but it isn't.
Kelly Clarkson tickets on the top row of the stadium are starting at $135!! There is no way I'm paying that and having to walk up all those stairs.

Season ticket holders make up a big part of the issue, as well as ticket brokers. By the time tickets are released to the public, likely the upper levels are all that's left. Once I discovered this, I was pretty much done with trying to score good tickets on "opening day."

Try waiting until much closer to show time on the resale market, if there are unsold tickets they can be much cheaper. Some buddies and I have done this on baseball trips, actually travelled to the city without tickets. One of my buddies is a guru at this. He never buys tickets until day of.
The comment about season tickets is spot on, I will start getting offered tickets here from our bank, insurance company, and our energy provider pretty soon. Always great seats up front or club level.
I don't care for the concerts there though, its just not a good venue. I love watching the actual rodeo though.

There were 2 opening, but it Always goes very quickly. Ask friends/coworkers if they have any tickets for sale; there are lots of corporate tickets given out ( Coca Cola, Beer distributors, Oil Companies, and so many more), and those people look to make money, and sell what they were given, as a company perk. My sister's bil works for John Deere, who supplies a lot of the tractors for the Rodeo, and they get some. There will be a Lot of tickets on Stub Hub, Seat Geek, etc. If you buy from an individual, ask to have hard copy tickets, if possible, as there are a Lot of scammers out there.
That's better than he residency, in Vegas, the tickets are easily $250, as a beginning price, plus fees and taxes, that gets very close to $300. I saw her at The Woodlands Pavilion, about 12 years ago. Amazing show, about $65. each. If you wait til close to show time, you will be able to get tickets at better prices. Also, listen to the local Country music stations, as they give them away. I won tickets there, about 3 years ago, to see Eric Church; great show and good seats.
I have a few of my season tickets left. Great seats, section 105, row y.
4 ea for J Balvin, Russell Dickerson, Red Clay Strays, and Koe Wetzel.
I don't mark them up. I also have parking passes for the yellow lot.

Do remember that the rodeo gives millions upon millions of scholarships each year for students in our area, so consider it a donation. They also buy champion livestock from those that show and further add money to their high cost of college these days, for many of the young people in our area
