billcherie2 I remember a couple of years ago there was a food truck on 494, over by Nico's that served great fried catfish and fries (D & D?). The owner also had a remodeling company, but they moved away. We miss that all the time, too.

cbear : That is a good question! I think maybe we eat more chicken cause it is very versatile and it is cheaper than beef. Also, we have been programed to think of beef as being bad for us and chicken is more heart healthy.

cbear : Cholesterol, I'm sure is a huge factor. Chicken is a healthier source of protein.

squirtismyboy : Actually we used to have a Church's up on NP at Russel Palmer. They closed 5 or more years ago. Then Dickey's opened in that location. Church's did have good fried chicken. I wish they were still here. I especially liked their fried okra.

LittleTexas : You are right! There is one in the Kroger at 1960 and townsen(sp). I have been there and their chicken is good but I seldom go into Humble.
