HOA question Hi neighbors,

sandykw : What section of Sand Creek?...I live off Willow Terrace and am not aware of my neighbors getting HOA letters.

sandykw : So was your car parked off the street but in the grass in front of your home? On the grass beside your driveway? Either way, I don't think that's a particularly good look for the neighborhood, so I would say that one might be justified.

Yes, we have been getting them also. I have sen their white suv on our cul-de-sac 5 times in the last 3 weeks and 4 people have gotten notices.

No photo this time. A couple of weeks ago, they sent one when it was about my climbing roses hanging off the trellis. Which looked so beautiful lol, But not this time.SandyKnee :

I'm in the very SE corner of Sand Creek, I don't know what the section is called. I received a letter from them about two months ago complaining about "clutter". My yard is pretty much immaculate, so I have no idea whatsoever what they were referring to. My next door neighbor received the same letter. I ignored it. It's not my job to figure out what the hell they're talking about.

I'm guessing we got new board members. Lived here awhile and these are the first I've gotten in Sand Creek.
My neighbor across the street received one for grass. It's where they put their Beryl pile. That area doesn't get much sun. Their yard guy put grass but it's already dying.

If climbing roses were knocked off a trellis by some of the nasty weather we've had, I would give that a pass for a reasonable time, my goodness. "Clutter" is subjective - one person's eye-sore clutter is another person's choice for Garden of the Month. But parking on the grass, have to agree that's justified.

We got one awhile back for hubby doing his own oil change on his car. He prefers to do it himself. Notice said no major auto repair mind you it was only an hour tops.

Sorry to hear you feel you're getting singled out. We had a few letters too while living in Sand Creek that we felt were head scratchers. Another way to look at it is, at least they're monitoring. That's what we pay them to do. They may have no bite, but they're watching and trying. We live in Foster's Mill now and have neighbors that leave junk on the driveway 24/7. Toys, tools, lumber, ladders, coolers, throw away items, all for everyone to see every day. Nothing ever gets garaged or put in back yard. A complete eyesore. If saying that makes me a Karen, then so be it. I don't think we get monitored over here and I wish we were.
