dejaglo: Welcome to the area. Your cats are beautiful. Is that your horse in your avatar pic? Also beautiful. It sounds like you enjoy the outdoors. Besides the trails each neighborhood ( called villages here) has a park.
Hopefully you can adjust to the heat here. The humidity makes it feel warmer. As you have heard we get seasons but they can be all in one day and that could also be Christmas Day.

Ruger5 : I hope you can convince him! Especially at the younger ages, companionship is important for their socialization and for learning all those essential "cat skills." When littles grow up with another cat, they get to practice boundaries, communication, and play in ways that humans just can't replicate, ya know? It helps them burn off energy in a healthy way, reduces boredom and loneliness, and makes for a more confident and well-adjusted cat in the long run. Also helps cut down on behavioral issues since they have a natural outlet for their energy and curiosity. It'll be a GOOD thing for Tessa. Dm me if you need more talking points lol I got you!

Welcome to Texas! And landing on KDC is like making a great friend. I love riding my bike on the greenbelt trails. Go East on Kingwood Drive until it ends at East End Park and enjoy the nature trails. So many great outdoor opportunities. The pools are open now. Weather permitting, dine al fresco at J. Christopher's, Mexichido, Skeeter's, La Madeleine, Three B's, Brass Tap, Crust Pizza, Torchy's. Emoticon

Yes, that was my 20yr old Leopard Appaloosa. Her name was Moo. She passed last year, sweet thing. She was the perfect first horse becuase she old, slow, and steady lol. I'm on the market for another once I'm settled in. The boarding prices around here are double what I'm used to though, so we'll see...

GroovyGal : The nature/off road trails are the best. I like to take my mountain bike on a good rough ride lol!! Pls let me know if you're aware of any others like that in the surrounding area. I think I saw somewhere that Lake Houston Park has nature trails?

I'm sorry you lost her. I've heard boarding prices are high around here.
Some years it rains more than others.
We have had some droughts also.
Hurricane season here starts Sunday so start preparing. We usually don't get one till later in the summer.
