Hi everyone! I'm Gloria-new to Kingwood, new to Houston, and new to Texas (all the way from Virginia)! A little about me: I'm big on the outdoors, adventures, and trying new things. Camping, biking, paddleboarding, horseback riding, hiking, fishing, dancing in the rain… you name it, if it's outside, I'm in! Everything I've read about Kingwood makes me so excited to explore and get plugged into the community. Definitely looking to meet folks who share those interests, so if you're into any of the same things (or want to try something new!!), I'd love to connect. dejaglo : Welcome to Kingwood! What part of Virginia are you from? Virginia is such a beautiful state! I lived in northern Virginia for a few years.
goldie : South-Central VA near Charlottesville. I agree, an absolutely stunning state. My town is surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. Just a short drive to the grocery store comes with majestic views of the mountain range. They will be missed.

I'm curious...is there any way to get the sticker with proof of my address in the meantime?

I lived in Fairfax County during my high school years; we lived in Mclean. I would love to live back in Virginia again but I don't think that's going to happen

dejaglo : Call before you go in for the K sticker and ask what they need. Last I went in (years ago) they wanted the actual paper copy of your Texas car registration. I have no idea why they needed that but they insisted on it. That was quite a while ago so things may have changed, but good idea to check. As for anything to do with Motor Vehicle offices, don't go to the Humble offices. You'll be there all day. Go to the New Caney offices. In and out in 15 minutes most times. Welcome and good luck!

dejaglo : Welcome! Your first Kingwood summer will test your endurance, but other than that this is a wonderful place to live! There are lots of long-time residents here on the forum, so if you have any questions I'm sure someone will be able to answer.
