What's the Walnut Ln bridge project? Is that repairs to the existing bridge or something new? EDIT: Whoops, didn't read good enough. Here's the details: "Purpose: The project includes the widening and reconstruction of Walnut Lane Bridge in Kingwood. This bridge, in its current configuration, will restrict flood flows unless widened to accommodate the future expansion of the Kingwood Diversion Channel currently being designed by the Harris County Flood Control District. The purpose of the overall project is to route drainage from Montgomery County to Lake Houston and reduce flood damage to residents of Kingwood along Bens Branch. The funding is needed to construct improvements needed to facilitate the expansion of the Kingwood Diversion Ditch and rebuild the Walnut Lane Bridge."

sudoers : so how do they widen the bridge? There's homes right there. And it's going to cost $4 million. That sure seems like a lot. It must be going to be a very nice bridge.

Ruger5 : Lots of people are trying to figure that one out. The change will probably come through the Justice Department and Attorney General, though, not the legislative branch.

BobRehak : If we could merely find a way to halt growth that'd be acceptable. We all know those who are there will not be removed. They will stay, they will pro create, they will grow in that way. Don't need more moving in.
