Haverty Furniture Opening in Valley Ranch

LittleTexas: I have never heard of them but will check out the new store when it opens. I was always a Fingers guy until they closed. Now I try to shop with Mac, just as a way to give back to a guy who has give so much to the Houston/Harris County area and its residents. But always open to new places.

I buy from Skeros on Northpark. But I don't buy a lot of new furniture.

I agree about Gallery Furniture; both of my kids furnished their homes from his showrooms, and the furniture is wonderful. I am all about finding something unique, so will shop garage sales, FB marketplace, etc. Did get my bed at Ashley a few years back; good deal on a Sealy mattress there. We have Rooms To Go, Living Spaces, and the others in Humble; quite a few furniture spots! Fingers and Hoffer Furniture were both good spots to get items; Hoffer used to rent furniture, and my first 'nice' apt in Houston, after college, was 'adult', ( not the wire spool, now coffee table, I found on a back road in Austin, adult )thanks to them! :D

LittleTexas : Funny......just yesterday I was looking at my couch and love seat while cleaning and thinking it is time for a change.

Gingersnap : That place is HUGE! It's storefront is misleading. Goes waaaay back. Nice people too.

Govchance : Yes, Mac is amazing. I just wish he had a store closer to us. I detest I-45.

I do too, but it is almost like a 'destination'; he is usually there, and always nice to talk to. They have water, snacks, Astros pins, and more giveaways. The delivery people are amazing, and helpful, too.

I went to Arhaus and bought all my furniture there.

LittleTexas : Majority of our furniture is from Gallery. We do have a few pieces from Moore Furniture in Cleveland, TX.

LittleTexas : We used to shop at Haverty's when we lived in DFW and San Antonio. I think they closed their Houston stores shortly after we moved here. Skero's is where we buy most of our furniture these days. Occasionally from Gallery Furniture when Skero's doesn't carry what we're looking for.

They did close their stores here, so it was a surprise when I saw their name again, and opening a big store.

He's my daughter and son in laws neighbor…I plan to buy from him this coming week…great Houston supporter.

I have not heard of Haverty. We rarely buy furniture however when we do, we shop Skero's or Gallery. Buying locally if possible is our first choice.

He and my middle brother were good friends, as they both worked with The Furniture Bank, which mac and other furniture stores donate to, to give to those in need of furniture; affected by house fires, domestic abuse situations, etc. . When I go , and Mac is at the store, he Always remembers me, and my kind brother, who has sadly passed away.
