Sisyphus : Loma Linda is, indeed, a research university.

Sisyphus : A Bing search using "What has Dr. Dean Sherzai published that was peer reviewed?" brought up many posts that mention his dozens of peer-reviewed articles.Umm . . . was your "Dr. Erzai" a typo just here or did you use that name when looking online about the Sherzais and peer-reviewed research?

Sisyphus : I asked good ole Bing to search again with this question, "Is Loma Linda University a research university?" Top-of-the-list reply was:"Yes
Yes, Loma Linda University is a research university. It is recognized as a Carnegie R2 research institution, which signifies a high level of research activity and commitment to advancing healthcare and life sciences through innovative research6. The university conducts groundbreaking research in various fields and offers opportunities for students to engage in hands-on research projects3."

Sisyphus : Right, dh and I didn't go there either, and my children and grandchildren didn't have it on their possible choices for college. (We did lean on the grandchildren a little about our favorite and two of them did go with Georgia Tech.) But the doctors Sherzai are doing excellent and very useful brain research there at Loma Linda.

Sisyphus : I've never seen any scoffing at research done by the Sherzais and I've been following them, listening to them, for years. Where did you see that?

Sisyphus : This is interesting. Today I've learned that you look to the publication -- the scientific journal, etc., itself for peer reviewing. A trustworthy publication will have every article peer-reviewed before it publishes that article in one of its issues. So usually the names of the reviewing peers are not attached to the individual articles but often can be found somewhere in the depths of the journal's website.The article itself will be scholarly. It will usually begin with an abstract of the paper's contents and continue with the article itself. References will be given.
