What is happening to the price of Bluebell at Kroger? Never seen

I am Texas loyal , too. : ) But, when the price keeps getting higher, when other ice creams, such a local HEB is actually better, And more reasonably priced, I will spend my money, there. HEB's CC Triple Chocolate Brownie,Poteet Strawberry, and 1905 Vanilla are as good as BB, imho.

The HEB Creamy Creations is good in my house, but it is rapidly approaching Blue Bell price as well.

LittleTexas : I'm kind of a purist when it comes to ice cream, so CC Strawberry is my favorite. But when they have Poteet Strawberry, I'll buy that instead because it tastes like a sherbet.

Never been a fan of Blue Bell. My SIL loved peaches and cream so I bought her some when she came for a visit. It was awful and there was plenty left over so I assumed my 2 yr old would love it. Nope he refused to eat it. What kid turns down ice cream. First and last time I threw out ice cream.

Smoothwaters: it's definitely not how it was, even five years ago. BB just hasn't lived up at the hype for us and some of the new flavors. Really miss the Mark.

dac2010: a lot of times they'll put the smaller ones on sale for a really great price so if you've ever wanted to try one, you can grab a couple at once. I'll grab three of them and take them over to my kids houses and there's plenty in there for us to all get a good taste in a bowl of ice cream out of it and then, we've decided on a new flavor we like; all for about $7!

Mimilane : Greed…..Tillamook ice cream is like $3 cheaper. It's better and it's shipped from Oregon using the same diesel

One of DH's favorite sayings is "the best cure for high prices is higher prices." At some point, people pull back, stay home and just quit buying. It happened recently with fast food. People stopped eating from the drive-thru, and poof, the return of the "cheaper" combo meals returned, and now everyone has a deal.

The weight loss shots are also hitting fast food and restaurants. More people eating kids meals for portion size.

Time to switch to Crown Royal. Not as many flavors but definitely a crowd pleaser.😊
