Half portion at a restaurant

Unless mentioned, I would assume the portion size of the sides would stay the same, and you would just get one porkchop. IMO, if trying to half the sides as well, it would make more sense to only offer one side order instead of smaller portions of 2 different ones, but that's just me. 4951

Sometimes a menu will have, say, "one enchilada or two". If I ask for just one, half, I expect to get that and whatever sides is typically part of the dish. I've never paid any attention to it until recently when my husband ordered half of an entree and it was plated with half of the sides, too. In my mind, I'm asking for half of whatever the entree is when it looks like too much for one meal. 4951

And another thing....If I truly get HALF of everything, why isn't my price HALF?? Usually it's just maybe $2-3 difference. So, yeah. I kind of expect the regular side portions and HALF the entree.   4951

HollyHobby: True. Half-sized everything should be half the price. You might be better off just getting the regular size and taking the rest to go. 4951

We went to Cedar Landing in Huffman Saturday night.  My husband ordered a catfish and they brought him a tiny thin probably tilapia (minnow).  The bacon wrapped shrimp appetizers were tiny tiny.  Beer selection sucked.  Will not go back 4951

I have yet to experience ordering half of a meal.Doubt I ever will, unless I live 30 more years and shrink to 100 pounds.Damn- I just spit diet Dr. Pepper on the screen. 4951
