Zakangel : It was sad to think the area has gone downhill , as it has Had a work friend who lived in one of the 1 br apts that were first built there, about 20 years ago. It was a nice complex...then. Now, I would not let her live there for a Day. This will bring jobs into the area, but it is Not a safe area, day Or night. This is what the new build will look like:
LittleTexas : Driving to lunch it was hard to tell if the people on fences were trying to get in or trying to get out. No lie. I had only been in my office building there about a week and when my boss found out that I drove around to check the area out for places to shop or eat… he let me have it. I never went out alone again. I had to call 911 twice for vagrants following our employees in the parking lot. We had a lab so had an emergency shower out in the parking lot. Yep…peeps from the woods by the tracks would shower…leave the water running…underwear…just imagine. Poop on the doorstep, other vile activities. So gross. Fed Ex guy got robbed in our parking lot…Again, happy not to be there! I had access to all the cameras. 🙀
ForestFinds : It was in the beginning; it was beautiful when it was new and for many years beyond that. All the new stores, and always busy and very clean and well kept. The "Broken Windows" theory overcame it, over time; visible signs of disorder and misbehavior, lead to more of the same, and after a time, lead to crime, in said area. This is when it became "Gunspoint"
