Greek Festival Time?................What began as a small community event has since grown into an annual, multiday festival. Organized by Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, the 2026 Original Greek Festival takes place from Thursday, October 1, through Saturday, October 3, at 3511 Yoakum Blvd. in the Museum District/Montrose area. Who is going?

wmubronco : I really like the Greek Fest, and try to get there when they Open on a Saturday. Parking is a nightmare, so we park about 1/2 mile away, or more, and walk in; usually a nice walk. Everyone tries to park closely, and there are Lots of places you can get towed, in the area, so Read the signs, before you park.
wmubronco : I grew up in the area and had a lot of Greek friends who went to that church and still do. Some are volunteers baking and cooking so even if I don't get down there, we get pastries and samples of other things. Parking is bad. It's an enjoyable time. I wonder if you could park elsewhere and uber over to the event?
Donnawisdom Well...........just a maybe....because I just remembered we have a church festival on Sunday afternoon.......an annual festival to raise funds for the elementary school. Dunno about the weather pattern....we will deal with it when we get there.
Wiseowl: we tried that; the Uber got stuck in same traffic, and people trying to find parking places which really slows down the entire process. we are always parked and walking about 30 minutes before it even starts on a Saturday morning, and that has worked well
