I remember when they were in the front of KW behind Minimax and they were basically a premiere Italian restaurant at bargain prices. We used to go so much I my parents knew the owner.

This was back when they still served veal. But no one even eats that anymore.

MaineLady : Really? I thought most restaurants stopped serving it a long time ago. Being of German descent I used to eat it a lot growing up but stopped in the 80s due to the cruel nature of how they treat the calves to get the veal.

It must be very expensive these days. I have not seen it available in the supermarket for ages, but then again I stopped looking too!

Ronstang : it is stupid expensive for veal cutlets at the market. not prime rib eye stupid, but getting there. I think $20 a pound last time I bought some cutlets.
