Grand Parkway ghost ramps - anyone know when they're gonna be bu

It sure would be nice if they finished these entry/exit ramps. Every time I come off 99 eastbound to 59 southbound and I have to run the gauntlet of traffic lights through the Valley Ranch center I think about that. I have no idea what they're waiting for. Similar but different thought, I wish they had planned better and put the ramp entry for 99 westbound coming from 59 northbound further north on 59 so that coming off Ford Rd. you could take the ramp instead of again running all the lights for the Valley Ranch center to get onto 99 westbound. The majority of the east end of Kingwood gets to 59 northbound from Ford Rd. It's too late now but it would have been very beneficial if they had thought of that.

And why didn't they put an exit from 99WB to 45NB? And 45SB to 99EB, I usually end up missing the exit. That is a real mess when you're trying to get to Town Center area. I usually just take 1314 to 242. It's much easier IMHO.

I wish that 99W in Spring was connected to 45N and also 45S to 99E.
What were they thinking?

We usually only use 99 to get from Kingwood to The Woodlands area. Coming or going, there are no usable ramps in wither direction. What's up with that?

It's all about Money. However, Montgomery county just got money from TxDot To redo the ramps at 99 and 45 to ease the traffic. Studies are being done now but hopefully it will include the ramp from 99 west to 45 north and, more importantly, 45 south to 99 eastbound., especially since traffic has really increased there.

Etarver : It's good to hear that the 99 & 45 junction is being planned - do you have any links to articles/updates on that?

There was an article in the Houston chronicle a few months ago that discussed it but I don't have a link. It said Tx Dot doing a study on the ramps but I would suspect it will not be quick, unfortunately.

Etarver : when it come to roads NOTHING is quick in Texas....

Agree, especially 99w to 45N

The direct link from 99 east to I-69 south would be nice. Save a bunch of time avoiding the folks from Valley Ranch shopping/restaurants.

FuzzyLogic : What would be even better would be a right turn ramp from the 99 eastbound access road to so all the traffic headed from Valley Ranch to 59S wouldn't have to wait at the light. But since there aren't any tolls on the access road, I guess there won't be any funding for a ramp there.

RJP59 : While road construction here seems to take an eternity, having lived in other states I think Texas is one of the better states in that regard.
