Not at all; I thought it was ham, when she first made it for us. She cubes it very small, and kind of fries it in butter, in a pan, before adding it to the rice mixture. So, the edges of the meat is a bit crunchy; so good! Just saw this on Inside Edition, on now. A lady up North buying all the milk, and leaving none for other people!
They are not at the stores at 59; HEB was crowded, but the Kroger was not; plenty of staff, well stocked, and more. It will probably get more crowded, as people get off work, but Kroger is definitely a better bet, esp the one at 59/Northpark. Worth a little drive to avoid crazy crowds. You can always stop at the Greek spot over there, for dinner, too
FFS. It's THREE DAYS. Why do people treat ice and water like it's Armageddon in Kingwood???
I imagine most had deliveries this morning. We used to buy an extra milk in the winter, when we lived in NY State, and just set it on the back porch, in a small crate with a lid, that was made to keep it out of sight, and secure, but chilled. Who needs a cooler? If your power goes out, put your food outside!
Spam was the original "S**t on a Shingle".
Nothing wrong with a fried Spam sandwich or fried Spam and eggs. Well, except maybe the sodium content.

There's a can of Turkey Spam in my pantry right now. I last had some a couple of weeks ago.
In Guam, there's a breakfast special, well known throughout the islands - Moco Loco. Either with hamburger patty or Spam.

My Dad was in the Navy for 8 years, and often talked about SOS. My Mom thought he Liked it, so she made it one night. He would not eat it, but we 4 kids liked it!! :D

My Dad was a marine and made two recipes when he wanted food quick. **** on a shingle aka chipped beef on toast and latrine cuisine aka refried beans, ground beef, cheese, and worcestershire sauce. Grandpa hated spam with a passion because that's all he had to eat as they were held in conflict during what he liked to call the Pacific field trip during WWII.
The only difference between Spam and a hot dog is the shape.
