I've blurred the faces of the people in the pics, according to current forum guidelines.
GoodOlBoy1776 : Here's what I think is shameful and "annoying". When the rights of the homeless are placed above the rights of those who have to live amongst the filth, chaos, crime, etc that invariably comes along with them. It's also shameful and "annoying" when the rights of this person who owns that Subway, who pays a high rent on that property, pays salaries for people who actually work for a living, and has likely sunk a significant amount of his or her life's savings into it to make a honest living and contribute to her community can't do so because a significant number of potential customers won't walk past this motley looking group to enter the store. THAT'S what's "shameful" and "annoying". You can't possibly be serious.
Ticagro : Seems loitering/homeless is here to stay and growing in the Kingwood area.
It isn't about putting anyone rights above anyone else's it about human decency. Public display of shame. There are better ways to handle it. What did she gain by posting this? Someone like you to come on and say what you just said. You talking about people rights. You don't know the first thing about peoples rights. Those are Americans. Maybe we should try to help them first before other nations or people here illegally. The subway by far is the scummiest and dirtiest one ever and all that lady does is ***** about the owners and Subway. If the owners of that's Subway cared they'd work with HPD and the property owner. You can get off your soap box now. Hahaha
I find it very annoying when businesses do this. I find no reason to take pictures of homeless people and mock them on the internet. This subway store should be ashamed that their staff and managers have zero issue with public shame. So shameful.
I don't see anything wrong with the post. She blurred their faces and did not call the individuals "mean" names.

For the record, I blurred the faces (as forum moderator), they were not originally blurred.
so many homeless now days-- they are all over Kingwood. Probably coming down from the big encampment in New Caney to get money. People continue to give to them and they will continue to come. There are multiple services for those who actually want help-- but there are rules just like there are rules in life. Cant imagine preferring to be homeless rather than being sober.

If it was so dirty did you report it to the proper authorities?
If they didnt pass inspections it wouldnt be open.
How many subways in the area have you gone to?
Maybe ask them if you can help them? I don't believe when we were younger we thought- when I grow up I want to be homeless, have a mental illness, or a drug addict. If the trash is the biggest problem - I bet they'd they probably clean it up if asked nicely and respectfully. However, the bigger concern for me is seeing someone in need and shaming them for their circumstances- regardless if their situation is self imposed or not! See a need meet the need. Kindness isn't hard and we can all choose it!
Why is everyone assuming this is a homeless issue and these individuals are actually homeless? Based on the food items from various food establishments, it looks more likely that they could be some workers taking a lunch break and keeping cool. The photo was taking from Aug. 2024. And we all know how hot it is in Texas in August.
