In the Eye of the StormAs a weather junkie, I of course love this show. And they did an episode on the Houston Derecho that's pretty interesting. www.imdb.com/title/t t33014623/reviews/The reviews are mixed about this particular episode because #1 It wasn't entirely about Houston. (IMO it should have been 2 episodes) and #2 They focused mainly on the downtown area, specifically the Wells Fargo building. I think they could have used a lot of the dashcam footage from drivers in other parts of the city, specifically the 290 area, but its a good representation of what Houston went thru that day. One thing about the show is that it doesn't focus on the damage. (We all saw that part first hand) Instead, it shows real time cell phone footage from people caught in the storm. Since most of us were without power for 7-10 days afterwards, a lot of people who weren't in the hardest hit areas didn't see the actual footage of the storm hitting downtown.Either way, it's a good episode so check it out! .................................Series Synopsis:This series reveals recent natural disasters as they happened in real-time through footage captured by eyewitnesses who found themselves in the wrong place at the right time and boldly held up their camera phones to capture the eye of the storm..................................Season 2, Episode 1:
