So I had an experience last week that I'm still trying to recove

So I had an experience last week that I'm still trying to recover from….maybe emotionally more than anything. I was coming down Northpark like I have a million times and as I passed the Kroger and that last entrance right by the exit of the green belt there, my eye caught what I thought looked like a body lying on the ground…I couldn't stop fast enough there so I turned around and sped back to that area. I thought no way could it be a body, it's probably a giant dog breed which also alarmed me. 😩 As I got back to go into the green belt, 2 or 3 high school aged kids rode right by me on their bikes as I approached. and they never stopped or said anything and so I thought, it's a lump of clothes or something. Then I saw long hair and a woman all dressed in black. And yes, I was shaking at this point. It's just shocking and there's no other way to describe it. It was indeed a body of a female so I grabbed my phone and walked closer. The body started to move. I said are you alright??!! She then looked up and said, "No! Call the cops! So I dialed 911. They came. I don't know what happened to her. She may have been on drugs or had a seizure, I don't know. But she was alive. After I got home…I began to process it all and I just couldn't believe kids that age never stopped to check on her, never said a word to me, just rode past her on their phones…and they literally had to ride around her unconscious body to get by. There's something really WRONG with that. I don't know that happens? Isn't 15 old enough to care about a body lying on the ground…?

It's just a different cynical world now .

I am so proud of you for turning around and making such an effort to be sure that what you were worried about may need help - how many others just drove by as did the teenagers. My question though is what transpired during the time after you called 911 and them arriving.. Did she not say anything or did you not see any problems?

MissAmericanPie : Could the kids have knocked her down by chance? That's awful. She asked for police instead of ambulance makes me wonder. Remember, there was an attempted break in in my hood broad daylight two days ago. You are a good citizen ❤️

Ruger5 : No I saw them coming toward her when I entered the green belt so they had not reached her yet. And since I did, I could see them approaching and passing her, just riding around her on their bikes. They said nothing to me and just passed by.
