Exclusive: Caney Pines GM Details Final Preparations Ahead of Planned December Opening in Montgomery CountyIn an exclusive interview, the appointed Caney Pines Convention Center General Manager Melanie Granado introduces herself to the community and details the exciting event opportunities that are coming to the venue as well as the opportunities the center will bring for economic growth in Montgomery County and surrounding areas.Granado said her immediate focus includes building the venue's team, conducting staff training and running operational tests before the doors open. She also highlighted the facility's versatile spaces, which are being prepared for trade shows, weddings, celebrations and community events.Official information from the East Montgomery County Improvement District confirms that the 210,070-square-foot New Caney venue is scheduled to open in December 2026. The facility will include an exhibition hall capable of holding more than 6,000 people or being divided into smaller rooms.
