Electric bills!

Took that deep breath today and opened the electric bill. My AC has been going non stop with this heat so I knew it would be up there.

$371.29 bucks which is a $99 increase from last month! Thankfully we made up for it with a $120 water bill and a beautiful yard 💚

I can't imagine those that are paying 18-20 cents a kilowatt! We're paying 10 flat which isn't great but it isn't horrible. The fact that someone is always here is what's killing us.

100 credits sent!
billcherie2 tipped StormChaser 100 credits for a post in this forum discussion.

StormChaser : Ours is $378 this month. It was $320 last month. I am sure our next bill will be higher. UGH!

StormChaser : Yeah, that's our deal too. Someone is always home. The upstairs gets so dang hot, so we can't really turn the air up during the day or it will never get cool up there at night. Hagen started 2 a days for football this week, and I'd hate for him to come home to a sweltering room after practices. It's still hot with all the fans, dehumidifier and Artic Air, but at least it's tolerable.

Ours was $245 this month. Up from last months $230. Worth it to stay at a constant 72.

Ours was $536. Never had one that high. Our AC unit upstairs was out about a week so I think the downstairs unit was running constantly to keep the house cool. I dread the water bill too because we've have had to add water to the pool several times. I'm ready to downsize but hubby isn't interested.

562.42 My AC unit is struggling. If the motor gets too hot it has a kill switch where it turns off for 4 hours. Happened yesterday when I got home the house was 80 degrees got up to 85 when we went to bed. I guess with the temp dropping outside overnight it was able to kick back on and cooled to 72 degrees this morning.... I just pray I can make it till winter and then replace the unit.

So far, I haven't gotten my electric bill but it may be because it has to come by mounted police because it is so high - same with the water bill!
