We stopped by El Tiempo last week for a late lunch. Service was good and yes it is pricey but the lump crab nachos were delightful.

I don't get Forest Image in my mail box. Where do you get it?

@Texasdaughter : I get it in the mail, but I've never done anything knowingly to receive it. Also, it does not have my name on it, just general delivery.

@Stealth83 : Fajita meat is popular, so costs a bit more. But it is what Texans call ' trash meat', so takes some finesse and time cooking to make it edible. It is the ' cash crop' for Mexican restaurants. El Tiempo prices are too expensive!

So we tried the half price fajitas (mixed) today. Excellent. The fajita meat was the best we have had - tasty and tender. Yellow rice, charro beans, dips and chips all very good.

Will we become a frequent customer? Doubtful. Just because we can pay ridiculous prices doesn't mean we will. Occasionally perhaps.

One negative surprise was the 10% packaging fee. Off the chart in my opinion.

@Kittle : I have never heard of a restaurant charging 10% for a packaging fee. Still that's 40% off was it still expensive at 40% off?

@sweetie : We were surprised as they did not mention it when we called in the order and it was based on the full price instead of the discounted price. We would have ordered even if we knew - I just don't like surprises, good or bad. As we had never been there, we started with a basic one pound mixed fajitas which was $29 and well worth the price as the quality is the best. For the record, I am not easily impressed but their food is really good.
