They settled with the Feds for 68 Million dollars all the while refusing to admit they ran a fraud scheme against Latinos who were trying to buy homes, often repossessing a home that fell into foreclosure and reselling the same property multiple times. They were also charging higher interest rates and the utilities and sewer systems failed. The predatory lending practices targeted Latinos by advertising in Spanish, using Hispanic sales and service people and offering new homes. Note their statement at the end of article.
