This ditch hasn't been cleaned out in so long, you can't even see it anymore. But the blockage could contribute to flooding a major evacuation route. Why has the City forgotten it?

Out of sight, out of mind?
Wish you a great week.
Maintenance is the key to less flooding. It saddens me to see neglected ditches like that.😢
There used to be a drainage ditch than ran on the greenbelt in Elm Grove and from Sherwood trails greenbelt across from EG pool to Northpark. It never flooded.. ever since the city took over the tree debris filled it in and it floods causing major mosquitos too.
I know exactly where you are talking about where the water now stands for days after a rain (where the greenbelt runs between the elm grove pool and the Sherwood trails pool) but I don't recall the ditch you are referring to. We ride through there daily. I'll be looking for it this evening.
Toohot : Call Fred Flicklinger ,our city council representative at 832 393 3008. He attends the Tier 10 meetings and is trying to get things done.
