Dining in the woodlands to day it occurs to me

Kingwood people are kind of cheap. Perry's would never make it here. When people spend money they want to leave Kingwood. And then there is the risk of flooding. Oh well !

asasolid2r : Idk but their parking lot is packed….. we tried it again maybe 6 months ago because of what I hear on here and seeing the parking lot thinking ok maybe it's better nowIt's just not

asasolid2r : Nope. No sign that it will eventually return, either.We haven't been to Chuys in probably a month. That has to be a record for us. The kids love it. Sorry @Tumu.

Donnawisdom : I've been to Perry's it's good….. people aren't gonna pay that here though. They will say Texas Roadhouse is better because it's quarter the price I've read too many food reviews on here, I know better

Not Kingwood, but what does everyone think of La Casita? We go there a lot too.

Brat : We need a Mambo closer to us. I'd be there at least once a week enjoying Vuelve a la Vida and their special fried rice.

Hit_Bull_Win_Steak : Look at their beans and rice……Rice is from a box and the beans are from a can

Tumu_ : the food never was their selling point, it was more an atmosphere thing. They try to cash in on that Austin is weird and so are we thing. That did have good happy hour specials, but since they went corporate a decade ago, the whole thing went staler except for that that green dip and the jalapeno stuffed olives.

Tumu_ : the rice is not good. Extremely average. I do live their salsa varieties though. Eat too much of that to finish the rest of the food.I freely admit I am no foodie and probably have terrible taste.

Giraffes : I'm a fan of Vida on 249

Ruger5 : Heck, I'd settle for a casual diner like 59 Diner (is that even around anymore?) in Town Center. I don't want to have to drive to the front to eat breakfast or to have a sandwich at someplace other than a fast foodie.

Giraffes : I was there today for lunch. Had their Mambo Classic. Fried white fish, and shrimp. Stuffed crab and a stuffed shrimp. I keep telling them to ease off on the rice, but they contiue to keep giving half a pound of it (per say). $18.99. Great deal IMO.
