In this case, the homeowner chasing and shooting was wrong and he has been rightfully charged with murder. From the beginning, I never said he was wasn't wrong and never said he didn't deserve punishment. All I have said is there was plenty of blame and fault to go around.

Might have to leave Kingwood. Y'all obviously think the homeowner was justified in answering the door with a gun and using it. My child is not safe around here.

No one said the shooter was ok in what he did. He clearly took it over the line of reasonable behavior. I don't get how he could shoot a kid, seriously.

We can talk when he is mentally ill as well as autistic. Few people understand autistic unless they are living with it.

Kids depend on adults acting rationally and safely. They depend on us to have extraordinary patience and understanding and to forgive in cases we wouldn't otherwise with adults. I'm sad that others don't hold themselves to this higher standard in order for society to feel and be safer for our kids.
