cbear : I am sure the mama wants them to be safe! But, she needs to know what they are doing because that is putting them in danger. They will eventually come into contact with someone who will put them in their place and it might be really bad for them. When someone pulls out a knife that is a threat. The other person might have a gun and that could mean the end of them. That would be sad!

I don't think HPD, city ordinances and other regulations are relevant at all here. Unless I'm wrong on something, the greenbelts are privately owned and the associations can put whatever rules they want on them and it seems to me they've made it pretty clear: e-bikes are NOT permitted. www.bbtkingwood.com/ bearbranchtrail/docu ment_view.asp?id=17 Typically, these organizations can make local ordinances more restrictive, but not less restrictive.

kingwooddiscgolf : The entity that owns the green belts can consider them motorized if they choose to. This isn't about legal v illegal, it's about private property rights. These bikes may be perfectly legal to ride on public sidewalk, but a private property owner can restrict or ban them if they wish. A trespass warning is about all that would come of it.

AnnieOakley : So what purpose does this serve if the Greenbelts are interconnected between neighborhoods? I would think the appropriate signage should be posted, clearly... just like the green and yellow signs, throughout y'alls neighborhood. At the very least, it would provide clarity for those not on the mailing list and serve as a warning to those who still proceed.

1836 : Not really if they charge for usage. U just can't make up rules if I'm the payer. Gray area nobody can cite u.
