When my DH and I came into KW last week to see the grands start their new school year we took a walk to the bayou to feed the turtles. This particular bayou is in Elm Grove and right across the street from Elm Grove park. Well, imagine our surprise to see an alligator approximately 5-6 feet in length swim up from the bottom of the bayou and go for the food we had brought. It didn't bother the turtles but I know how fast they can swim and also climb and as a MawMaw to 4 beautiful grandchildren I have real safety concerns. Do any of you have any ideas on how to get rid of it? I have talked with my daughter and grandchildren to not get too close to it and definitely not feed it. I also worry for any neighbors close by that may have small pets that they let run wild along the sides of the bayou. Do any of you have any ideas?

Beaches :
Beaches : Nothing you can do really. They will probably stay mostly in the water. I would not let people go by the water. Just stay away. I have a ditch behind me and definitely have gators in it.
Beaches : If we don't bother them they won't bother us. Used to see them at Golf Course lakes south of Houston all the time. They never messed with is.
