From the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management:

While our priority is keeping the shelters, cooling centers and distribution sites open and running until power is fully restored we are working behind the scenes with our debris removal contractors to get all the necessary permits and plans in place to begin debris removal within the next few days.

As we determine the exact location and dates of of debris removal we will share that information.

For now please make sure you’re following the debris guidelines below and get your debris to the curb or edge of the road.

Debris Guidelines:

To our residents, we understand that the need to return to normalcy is imperative to moving forward in recovery. Debris collection takes time. Trucks must be mobilized and sites must be permitted to conduct the necessary debris management services. Please have patience with the county as the process gets started. See below for some general guidelines to help the debris collection process run smoother.

• Homeowners are encouraged to submit a damage report.
• Businesses are not eligible for debris pickup.
•Please use clear trash bags
• Debris MUST be placed in the County/City Right-of-way.
• Debris cannot be collected on private property/ gated communities
• Do NOT place debris near trees, poles, fire hydrants, meters, mailboxes, or any other structure that would make removal of debris difficult.
• Do not place debris in ditches or natural drainage ways that will impede the flow of water.
• Do not place debris on roadway that will become a hazard to traffic. Only storm related vegetative debris will be collected, this includes:
â–  Tree branches, leaves, logs, plants, etc.

TownHubAdmin :
This is residents of Montgomery County as I understand it. And not to confused with those Kingwood residents living in Harris county even though the guidelines are similar. I see were it mentions using clear trash bags and Harris County say no trash bags allowed. Thanks for posting this, as this is first I've seen this advice posted Montgomery County residents.
