Chiza : It's appalling to think after ALL the pain and suffering inflicted on society by these shootings, these kids think of this as a joke. The parents should consider themselves a colossal failure. The teaching moments have passed, now their kids are the teaching moment examples of what not to do.

You really don't want to hear my opinion MissAmericanPie. I agree with you...but I'll upset the norm here in Kingwood.... I have two 7 year olds ((non traditional per Kingwood norms/standards)...and you don't have to argue for or against...Kingwood has shown us))...that both get bullied and ridiculed for different things...they tell me about it weekly (at least)...at 7 years old...but I remind them to treat others as they want to be treated (and they agree and we talk about "walking away" but It gets overwhelming for them too...yes they understand their nationality and culture and will stick up for it, as they should)...and sometimes needs to be taken further...teachers and "subs" don't take it seriously. I've been told, as a parent "its normal for them to be called certain curse words" and my "kids need to learn to suck it up"...let me remind you, they are 7......no the **** it's not...they don't know what the **** that means...(but they (my kids) are ALWAYS the "bad kids" in the end...when something goes wrong and they stick up for themselves)... Not arguing with you MissAmericanPie...just pointing out "facts" in our community. And this was not just 1 "public" school...the hatred started at a private Christian preschool....which I removed my kids from and put then in public school and it's no different...I would go into more detail but not unless asked.

TEXASGIRLMAMMA : I totally agree with you. But kids need to learn about consequences in society - like school. What seems to be happening is that parents complain that any punishment is too harsh so the schools back down.

But what school, public or private, tells you your child should be expected to be called curse words? Why should this be tolerated? I have 2 biracial grands and I would be kicking ***.
Or am I wrong in assuming is race related?

Chiza : I HATE that your kids have been dealing with that. That is just freaking awful! People really do suck. The funny thing is some of the white kids here try to act black and they look like freaking idiots! Yeah, I'm sure that I will get roasted for that one, but I don't care.
