Aren't there monthly police meetings with the KW community? If so, does anyone know when the next meeting will be?
I promise you the person openly carrying is 99% the time NOT the person you need to worry about. Just the other day a woman on the trails passed a person and next thing you know she had a handgun in her face! Never saw the gun until it was too late. That's the person you need to be aware of. Also why my family no longer walks the trails.

TEXASGIRLMAMMA : This is 100% accurate, I was the one that passed 10 this morning amongst a few other people. It's incredibly alarming and very nerve-racking. It was around 10:40 AM this morning, I was walking in broad daylight. I could not believe my eyes.
Maybe it's legal but it's also a good idea for the police to investigate it. There is room for both of these facts to be true.
e : They were holding the weapon barrel down and I acknowledged him and said good morning and he said good morning back.
Often times i go take Boo for his walk when its still dark out...
I carry a concealed .4o that cannot be seen. I am too damn old to fight.Boo alerted a couple of times on some fool sleeping in the woods.

Lizvac : It was not the green belts, but Gladehill Drive specifically. I can attest to this because I was a witness.
I had that happen a few years ago in Woodland Hills. Two police asked us if we saw someone with a gun
All eyes open to concealed handgun carriers. I no longer live in Kingwood but if I did and held a license, I would purposely walk the greenbelts in the area. Some people need to be scared straight and learn a hard lesson. Walking around with a rifle? I mean, they're up to no good for sure.

I will say that years ago I saw 3 people by Chikfila and one of them had a long gun. They were speaking to a Chikfila employee. I'm guessing the conversation may have been about whether the person with the long gun could take his gun inside? I don't know- I was riding and I'm sure they didn't need a looky Lou. It does kind of throw a person, but I'm more used to it here in AZ. Lots of people carry when hiking- javelinas and rattlesnakes are prevalent. lol of course I do worry about ricochet shots- most people who carry probably don't practice enough.
Still while legal probably not the brightest idea

I live in Valley Ranch and when I walk around the pond I come across those who carry 🔫 and I actually feel safer knowing so. I myself carry when I feel I need to but you won't see mine since I conceal it.
I did a shoot don't shoot scenario with the Constables and I am proud of my quick reactions and how I handled the situation I was put in.
