Just a reminder: These men are innocent until proven guilty. By the time both parties have their day in court, the actual truth probably really won't matter anymore. Many of you will have already decided. It sounds to me like they were all drunk and high. The idea that a woman's consent in that situation can be reversed but a man's cannot doesn't seem like a level playing field. She will have an uphill battle considering the things she said in her police statement back in 2024.

Some of these replies are why we have the problems with sexual assault that we still have to this day. If she could not consent, then that is a no, period. I believe that is the law where this happened. It is not ok by any tretch of anyone's imagination. And people wonder why women are so careful about dating and giving out personal info..

#msg6019189Here's an interesting article about this case www.theguardian.com/ us-news/2026/sep/28/ cornell-fraternity-i nvestigation-al The District Attorney said "Jane Doe's sworn statement in November of 2024 did not allege that she was drugged against her will or gang raped. On the contrary, Jane Doe's statement described her participation in drug use and sexual conduct as voluntary, conscious, and consensual. " It is way too soon to want to ruin the lives of these accused boys.

MrsC67 : An important note according to something I read, is that in New York, anyone who voluntarily drank or took drugs can't be a victim of rape, provided they're conscious.

Personally, this is rape and beyond disgusting. I don't know how "men" like these live with themselves. 🤢🤮

it's all part of the package... SOP for assaults to not be reported to real police and the job of campus cops also is to polish the reputation and brush the dirt off

Ken Starr, former Clinton prosecutor, demoted after school's sex assaults scandal
Celebrated Baylor football coach Briles fired after sex assault accusations, convictions of players
The Associated Press · Posted: May 27, 2016 12:14 AM CDT | Last Updated: May 27, 2016

Ken Starr, who zealously pursued charges against a sitting U.S. president in a White House sex scandal, was stripped of his job as president of Baylor University on Thursday after a scathing review found that under his leadership, the school did little to respond to accusations of sexual assault involving members of its vaunted football program.

The board of regents at the nation's largest Baptist university said Starr will vacate the presidency on May 31 and stay on as chancellor and law school professor, jobs that will not include any "operational" duties for the school.

Baylor also fired football coach Art Briles and placed athletic director Ian McCaw on probation after an external investigation found the actions of football staff and athletics leadership "in some instances, posed a risk to campus safety and the integrity of the university."

The report didn't identify specific cases, but two football players have been convicted of sexual assault since 2014. In the past year, there have been multiple reports of other alleged assaults and women who said the school did nothing to help.

"We're deeply sorrowful (for) these events," Baylor regents chairman Richard Willis said. "We're honestly just horrified."

Starr gets to keep a title and a job, but his demotion at the school in Waco, Texas, is a stunning fall for the prosecutor whose dogged investigation of President Bill Clinton's relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky eventually led to Clinton's 1998 impeachment.

The review by Philadelphia-based law firm Pepper Hamilton found that under Starr, school administrators discouraged students from reporting or participating in student conduct reviews of sexual assault complaints and even contributed to or accommodated a "hostile" environment against the alleged victims.

So in the same pictures of messages she provided in the lawsuit the victim wrote "none of the sexual stuff was illegal" and that she liked being with him and another man. She ALSO provided a sworn statement in Nov 2024 that "did not allege that she was drugged against her will or gang raped"

If the men did this they deserve everything thrown at them but I will wait for it all to unfold because something is not adding up.

Spike :
Why would you talk to me like that? I am the mother of 3 sons. I raised them right and taught them to be aware that girls can accuse them of things that did not happen so they need to be extra careful before putting themselves in situations like this.

"Believe every woman" is bs. Girls can lie. You don't think it's wise to see what a criminal court has to say? In any accusation like this I think it would be smart to wait for a court that uses guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

How many times do we have to see people wrongly convicted over these kind of cases? The Duke rape case was probably the most famous. The victim just made up a story and did not care about the lives of the boys she accused www.washingtonpost.c om/nation/2024/12/13 /duke-lacrosse-rape- crystal-mangum/

It is very tempting for me to say things back to you but having to put it in writing makes me aware that the better response is to just have pity on anyone who will just believe a story and ruin people's lives without waiting for a court to rule on it beyond a reasonable doubt. They might all be guilty. But we have to let the court decide because maybe some or none are not.

If this case had not received its current publicity, it would have never seen a courtroom. The DA had no intention to look any further.
For every case you listed, there ar thousands if not millions of rapes left without much of a looksee.

Except she denied this happened and said she was willing:
USA Today excerpt
"
"On the contrary, Jane Doe's statement described her participation in drug use and sexual conduct as voluntary, conscious, and consensual," he said.

Calling the fraternity members' alleged behavior "disgusting and morally reprehensible," Van Houten said he has considered bringing charges and has since contacted the woman's attorneys.

"Once we determine the appropriate charges, the case will be prosecuted in the most objective and impartial means available - by testimony to the Tompkins County Grand Jury," Van Houten said."
