CorkScrew Barbecue gets a Michelin Star

I need to go to Firecraft. There is a place in Harlingen, Smoke, that is to die for.

Joe : Interesting! I've only been the one time. Maybe I was just there on a good day? I can say that the HEB True Texas BBQ brisket is rather meh.

I had BBQ today at Straight off the Road in Crosby. Excellent Q and it's located on 2100 heading towards downtown Crosby. Fortunately I was there after the lunch rush so it wasn't packed.

Just came back from lunch there today....it's the best.
If you go Wednesday or Thursday around 12.30-1 is there is usually just a short line inside and you get served after 10mins but your in the A/C

Well you could by a 14 pound brisket for 60.00(cooks down to 8 lbs) and spend 10 plus hours smoking it.

I did very purposefully limit my praise to proteins and tortillas. For sides, I'm a Firecraft fella. Dave is a chef.

jracer1414 : I like their pulled pork but hate their sauce. I buy it to go and use my own sauce.

luannski : I liked their sauce, it had a bite to it. BBQ sauce is different everywhere and some is better than others. Simply a matter of taste.
