Coral snakes
A friend has sent me three posts, one from her back yard in Roman Forest, one from her daughter's yard in Kings Manor, and one from her friend in The Commons in Huffman, of coral snakes-red on yellow. Just be aware.

They're extremely timid and shy. Bites are generally incurred by reaching into bushes, behind planters, or under debris without first looking.

Since moving to the country, we've learned to (a) always wear shoes and (b) always be aware of where you put your hands and feet when you're outside the house.

Biggest fear out here are copperheads and black widow/brown recluse spiders. We run into those a lot.
