I still call it Rico's, and probably always will. I'm talking about that amazing Mexican/ TexMex restaurant on Kingwood dr near Palais Royal. I'm a regular and my husband and I are often recognized by the staff (less so since the switch to Cilantro's) but the food is just as delicious as its always been! Do you guys go there often? Isn't the food amazing? What do you think about the change in management/the name change? 4951

For me, the only reason I would eat their food is because they deliver. I don't care much for their food. I find the name change a benefit because there is confusion between Rico's and Rigo's. 4951
I've been to Rigo's as well, I was not as happy with their food. But yes you are right it its confusing. lol 4951

Rico's was good, the few times I went there. I just end up at either Chuy's or Los Cucos and just keep forgetting about Cilantro's/Rico's. 4951

Is it the same management and menu just with a different name?  Or is it a totally different restaurant with new management and recipes?  I thought Rico's was ok, but have not tried the new place. 4951

We call Los Cucos, Los Crapos. Â I really do not get how they stay in business. Â Other than to drink there

Girl, Pepto Bismaul shouldn't be a required after dinner drink for eating there

I went to Papposita's on 1960 by the mall after New Years. Â Their food is delicious. Â I had never been before and OMG you get alot of food. Â We had gotten a gift card and wanted to check it out. Â After bringing home leftovers my DD wants to go there for her bday now..lol.I had chicken quesadilla's, DH had ribs with bacon wrapped shrimp with rice and beans and we got guacamole and queso. Â We were both stuffed and there was enough for all 3 of us to have lunch the next day. Â I had always heard that the tables were very close together and cramped and was very surprised because my DH is a big guy and we were in the front of the restaurant in the corner and there was a table next to us by the window and then open space so we didn't feel crowded at all.We usually just go to El Ranchero's since they usually have the $5.00 off coupon and all 3 of us can eat for less than $35.00 bucks with the tip but I have to say the food at Papposita's was so much better. Â More expensive but really good and so much of it so I guess it is about the same. Â We paid double at Papposita's but we were both full, enjoyed ourselves and had leftovers for everyone the next day. 4951
I think its new management, the menu is the same. There is a Cilantro's on 1960 I guess thats where the new management is coming from. 4951
Funny how everyone has "their spot" for Mexican Goes to show how much a first experience, or one bad enchilada can make or break a restaurant for you. Ha-ha! 4951
