Kingwood.com classifieds-I posted a free ceiling fan in April, just started getting emails with "I am interested text me at (phone number). Is anyone else who posted on classifieds getting these types of emails? Should I be worried about scammers? I texted 2 already but get no response back 🥴 no longer texting them.

Never answer these; everyone gets them. They ask for personal info, Before even showing interest in the item. Later, you will get 'is this still available?" texts, and then they will ask for your cell, address, etc Grrrr. In my ads, I say "if you are seeing this item, it IS still available, do not ask". I would put the free item on your curb, they day before trash day; most of the time, it will be gone quickly.

No, don't feel bad. I think it is almost a bot, or something! I mean, the VerySecond you post something, you get 3 or 4 of those, within Seconds! I have answered, too, when I first started posting, because you Think they are interested; sure seems so! But, they don't say they Want the item, they just want your info. Emoticon

Just block the numbers those people texted you from.
