BobRehak : TX SB15 is on Abbott's desk to sign. Texas is short 300,000 homes and builders are gonna buy up and clear lots to build smaller affordable homes in counties of 300,000 or more. They'll be small on 3000 sq ft lots. The avg lot in KW is about 6000 sq ft.

billcherie2 : Where did you get that number? 6000 sq ft is a bit low! My realtor friend says the median lot size in Kingwood is 8,411. The homes on the market right now have a median lot size of 9322 sq ft. There are very few homes with a lot of 6000 sq ft in Kingwood. Even the patio homes in Kings Crossing have a lot size 6000+ to over 10,000 sq ft. The tiny homes across from St. Martha and the brownstones in Bear Branch have smaller lots but there are not enough of those to make the average lot size 6000 sq ft.
