Kroger comes in slightly less expensive for the things that I buy. there are some things I buy at HEB because they have a better product. But HEB is HUGE and I don't know the layout as well, so Kroger is my go to for every day stuff. I do use the coupons and their card, so that helps quite a bit.

but none of those items are food/groceries, even though they may be bought at a supermarket.

needed some fresh okra. Went to Kroger. They said last several cases on the truck were not up to his standards. Produce manager called friend at HEB and sent me there for the okra.

Brat: Magnolia leaves are bigger and somewhat smoother because of the oil content.

I do appreciate that Kroger does seem to be less crowded and more peaceful/ less chaotic. I also like that it's smaller (NP and WLH location), I (mostly) already know where everything is and they expanded the width of the aisles. Digital discounts are good, too. I'll admit I was intimidated by HEB before I started shopping there, but it is actually a little closer to where I live, and the prices are about the same on most things, I think.

The Kroger inside of Kingwood raised their prices since they redid the floor and moved things around.

Actually, a manager Should be helping you to reach your shopping needs/goals. He would never be terminated for his showing Great customer service. His actions established a very caring attitude, and that brings your customers Back to your store. He was also able to let her know that he keeps a close eye on the Quality of their merchandise. That is the Kind of employee that creates a customer's return. Plus, posting it here, and now More of us are aware of this thoughtful gesture. Win/Win.

Babieborris: as someone who has managed many businesses in my life, and done active customer service type training for years, as well, I disagree. Have never, in over 45 years seen anyone fired or even reprimanded, for similar actions that Are a positive outcome, re a customer. of the people who read that comment here ,how many do you think are thinking Negatively, about that manager at Kroger? But, we each get our opinions.
