#msg5919061TEXASGIRLMAMMA : I try not to go into the KW Post Office for anything, but if I do need to go I'll have my phone on silent in my purse. It's actually what I use to lock/unlock my car.

#msg5919076TEXASGIRLMAMMA : I think I have one on it now but, I have lost 2 phones to the pool so I have a bit of PTSD. I may change and bring it ouside but keep it far from the water and in the shade.

#msg5919169TEXASGIRLMAMMA : They don't want you to use them while you are doing your transaction. They don't want others in line to be talking on their phone.

#msg5919186TEXASGIRLMAMMA : StinksMcNulty : UptownGirl : CatalinaD : BigBruno : ForestFinds : Kingwood PO needs to address bigger issues than people who have cell phones with them. I have had much mail go missing. Anything that looks like a check has been opened and re-sealed.

#msg5919299TEXASGIRLMAMMA : They do not have the right to restrict the use in the p.o. There are restrictions for employee use, only.

#msg5919440TEXASGIRLMAMMA : Probably so you can't video tape their nonsense. ;0)

#msg5919468TEXASGIRLMAMMA : I saw the sign as well a while back. I don't think there is any law or ordinance prohibiting it. I assumed this particular office took it upon itself to post it because they've had so many complaints about the service. They probably don't want anyone videotaping. I take my phone in regardless.
Can't imagine ever complying with anything the USPS posts on a wall. Not even as a remote suggestion.

#msg5919702TEXASGIRLMAMMA : They're looking for creative ways to make the wait at the post office even worse than it already is, I guess... ; ) I can't imagine browsing my phone while waiting in line could bother anyone.
They can be recorded as well. There is a poster #7 required to be posted that says official business may be filmed. There is no expectation of privacy while in public. It is part of the first amendment. Good manners, tells you not to stand at the counter and not interfere with them doing their job.
Well, at least thieves will know all cars in post office parking lots all have cell phones
