Cell phone outages

I installed Whatsapp on my laptop and was able to send out text messages that way. Quite the surprise, a friend just called my phone using Whatsapp and was able to do a voice call -even when the phone showed emergency use only.

We have Verizon. Haven't had any issues today…so far….

I can't make calls or even text. I do have internet on and off. We have Verizon all of our phones are messed up.

No problems here with Verizon today on my iPhone. Android users like hubs can't call only text.

Do you have a acurate paper map or downloaded digital map?when the apocalypse hits, your phone will not work nor give you directions.
