TEXASGIRLMAMMA : There is a menu item that we love but it doesn't appear on the menu though you can order it. It is a chicken friend breast with a mexican type of cheese melted on it liek tomatoes, cilantro I think and it is amazing. I texted my DD to ask the name and will share when she responds. THEIR lunch portions are = to many restaurants dinner portions! We always have take home boxes. Even my DS who is a big boy and can eat. He can't finish.

SummerSneeze : I had a hankering for one the other day too. Never had their as we love a certain chicken dish but DS and others have had them are were pleased.
In celebration of our DS 37th birthday yesterday, we went to Hofbrau Steakhouse in Porter. We used to frequent this restaurant years ago but hadn't been in at least 10 years. It was fantastic! The atmosphere was wonderful, the appetizers were delicious and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. DS and DH had chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, and both loved it. Others feasted on top sirloin, catfish, hamburger steak and cheeseburgers. Highly recommend if you're looking for a family friendly, customer service driven dining option.

Acuna : there was not a salad bar but my DD had a house salad and said it was very good.
Gammyof2 : We like to go there. Usually meet DS and DIL so they don't have to drive into Humble. DH usually gets the chicken fried steak and I get the dirty swamp (fish). Everything we've tried there has been good.
