Books-A-Million Coming To Valley Ranch, New Caney

Same here. Books, CDs, DVDs are cheap at the thrift stores.

Valley Ranch is a positive boon to our area. Looking forward to another store opening.

I often get books at thrift stores and both libraries but occasionally I'll buy new if it's for a gift.

They will begin the new HEB to be built there ,soon. Once the convention center is open, and hopefully doing well, it will draw more restaurants, bars, etc. to the area, too.

LittleTexas : I haven't seen any credible info that an HEB will be built in Valley Ranch. Did I miss something? There was initially one planned for 99 & 1314, but that was canceled.

I'm sure I'll keep the place running with my weekly trips 🤭 I have a book buying obsession. I'm glad I moved to New Caney 🤭

LittleTexas : I hope so! That's one of the grocery stores I have missed when moving over here. I have an HEB but it's on the other side of 242, I need something closer. Another Aldi would be nice too

I have picked up a few books from Goodwill lately. James Patterson novels for $2-$3. Not bad.

ILoveReading : When our family owned a bookstore we sold so many James Patterson books. Amazingly, he's nearing a $1 billion net worth…as a writer! J. K. Rowling's net worth is also over a billion dollars. Stephen King at a half billion. So much for the "poor, starving writer" trope. ; )
