Is there an air show this weekend? I know there's a museum in Conroe and they would fly some of their aircraft to Ellington for the show. I had the distinct pleasure of seeing a B-24 like the one my Dad was a tail gunner in fly over the house. I cried my eyes out

They also have a restored F-4 down there. My favorite war bird. Now that would be an awesome flyover.

JamminTX: it took me by surprise ! I kept hearing the loud noise till I got to see it , and as you , very close . No, no pics.
It will remain only in our memories , lol

TXSunDvl : Yes it would, and boy would that be one loud flyover.

I didn't see it but I heard it and counted the blades. Distinctive noise of tandem counter rotors. I was wondering what the hell was flying over and why.

Love those J-79s on afterburner. Listened to them for 3-1/2 years. To paraphrase Robert Duvall "Sounds like freedom".
