Atascocita high schoolhad instagram threat against them. Apparently someone wanted to harm the school or the kids. LEO has investigated and found it was a burner phone and that there's no real threat to the school. My friend in Atascocita said her DD will not be going to school today. Spring break starts anyway next week. I hope they catch this person. I don't know if it's a student or who it is. I got this on my ring. And I called her about it. She didn't even know. So she checked her emails and that's what the info she got. Her DD didn't know anything about it.

I'd keep my child home today too all they're doing the day before a spring break is keeping them in their seats anywhere I taught school, so I know this. These days I would air on the side of being "too careful", when it came to my child and these shootings

It seems like these things always happen, and rumors of these type of threats occur right before all of the breaks. I'm not saying that no one should take them seriously, but they do happen often. If your friend feels more comfortable with letting her DD stay home, that's not a bad decision. I usually let me DS stay home on the Fri before a break, too, since there really isn't a lot going on in school. Hope this turns out to be the usual prank, and it is an uneventful and good day for everyone.

@CatalinaKitKat : I hope the perpetrator is found. And I hope it's all a hoax. I worry about these kids these days. Too many attacks on schools.
