I'll let y'all decide.Â With the report of a local man being arrested for graffiti, I was curious about what you think of it.Â Does it bother you to look at graffiti? Or do you think it's just art?Â [I have no idea who is responsible for what's in the photo. I took it earlier in the year over by 59.]Original Story 4951

It's graffiti. He may be talented but once you become destructive to property that doesn't belong to you, it's not art. Besides doing "puff" letters is something any kid can do in elementary school. Jmo.

that particular photo doesn't make me want to look at it. Â there is plenty of trash out there. Â however, when you see creative, skilled, graffiti it's definitely art and waaay better than looking at a plain ol wall. 4951

@WskyTngoFxtrt: Actually that is not even remotely the point. The point was to share ones opinion concerning whether or not graffiti can be looked at as art. Graffiti is often commissioned or accepted once done. Regardless is it art or isn't it?

it's one thing to paint something somewhere everyone would enjoy looking at, but to "tag" something with a bunch of gibberish looks just plain stupid. It is everywhere in places like Los Angeles and Chicago. It would be nice if our city looked a lot less trashy.Trash. 4951

That is vandalism - if you want to paint graffiti find a place that needs or wants a mural and paint something pretty. 4951
