Apology for the Town Center Park Laser Show!

tonyaust2000 : Apology is not necessary, but thanks for the explanation. I'm sure many were wondering what happened (and griping of course), but the majority of us appreciate all you do for our community. Sounds like you made the best out of an unfortunate situation.

Apparently not everyone who attended the FREE show as you all have repeated mentioned were aware that it was a laser show. That needs to be painfully clear, I would think, so people can choose to attend a real fireworks show elsewhere. You don't need to apologize for failing - that's a symptom of being human.

jax: Are you referring to the one who came on last night complaining.? I'm thinking he like another that posted didn't read the whole announcement. I've seen several and they all end with a musical laser light show will conclude the night.

peppermintstick : Being an outsider now, I will have to take your word on that. When I was residing in Kingwood, I never paid attention to advertisements about the 4th of July. I just wanted to know when the Town Center festivities were, that's all. I'm sure there are some folks who are just like I was.

tonyaust2000 : I am sure many Appreciate the Apology, your heart is in the right place! It is extremely disappointing to hire a contractor who fails miserably & disappoints hundreds. There can always be glitches, but to not do any testing is incredibly amateur, and no back up in place? Guess they won't be invited back?

tonyaust2000 : You are always a class act and do so much for the community. It is nice to know local options exist for celebrations. I definitely agree that your vendor should offer a discount for not delivering the full product but I have no financial skin in the game. Not doing a test run sounds foolish unless prior weather did not support a safe environment. In that case, always value safety and roll with the punches.

We quit going when the wait time to get out of the parking lot exceeded the amount of time there were fireworks.

If a laser show was a failure last year. Why do it again this year?
Town center is nice but crowded. Maybe kingwood should do something on the water. Maybe use a flat boat as a launch pad.
Just an idea.

Stop saying it is a free show! Nothing is free. It is paid for by the businesses in Town Center and those cost get passed down to customers. I would rather get a cheaper margarita from Chachi's instead of some half *** light show. Lol
