I would recommend just hanging out in the cell phone lot at the corner of Lee and Will Clayton until they text you to identify where they are. It's the only way to not park at the terminal for unknown periods of time - which clutters the area for others.

Abberatia : If they are coming into terminal D, have fun. Like someone said, wait in the cell phone lot since they still have to go through customs and get luggage, if any. They are very strict at terminal D pick ups for intl.

Terminal E pickup is very much like it used to be. Pull in under the large covering and pick up at the same curb you used to pick up at. I'm not sure how lenient they are regarding waiting at the curb.
As Spork mentioned above, you're much better off to wait in the cell phone lot and when the folks you're picking up are on their way out they call you and you pick up at the curb. As for Terminal D, I imagine it's the same way, as far as waiting in the cell lot then picking up at the curb. I can't say from first hand experience because we never use Terminal D.

Our hack for my buddy who flew over from Europe a few weeks back was for him to catch the rental car shuttle and we picked him up from the rental car lot. Way less intense that dealing with the terminals and works pretty well as long as the traveler is cool with managing luggage and the shuttle.

I picked someone up 2 weeks ago from London, he texted me when the luggage started rolling in and that's when I left the house. Depending on time of day, traffic is iffy. They will not let you wait, so circling sux.
The rental car idea is pretty smart

That's a great idea. Driving around the terminals is nerve wracking. Thankfully I don't have to do that anymore.

It is crowed but have the person text you what door they are coming out of they are numbered and wheelchairs come out of the last door. That is what I have been told.

Abberatia: stay at the cell lot til they tell you theyre picking up their bags in Customs. Then follow the signs at the airport to "international arrivals", and youll see them at the curb, there. Have them call you when you reach outside and tell them to explain how far down the sidewalk they are.

jrw2017: instead of the rental car shuttle go park your car at one of the parking fly type of parking lots, have them drop you off, and then once you are reunited outside of the Customs area with your friends,( you can sit and wait for them there, there are restrooms chairs, and now even a small shop for drinks and snacks that just opened) then you can pop back outside, hop into the little bus ,and I will take you directly back to your car. Look online for discounts for parking. The Parking Spot has 2 locations, there are others
