Also....the clerk has stated he was provided a valid ID for the purchase, hasn't been convicted or went to court yet so we do not know. The clerk ,may or may not share some fault, but we do know the driver was intoxicated and was responsible for the unfortunate death of these 2 young girls, and was 100% at fault. 4951

cador : Absolutely. No one put a gun to driver's head and forced him to drink, 2 girls killed and this "friend" wants to absolve driver of any responsibility. I'm just wondering why it's taking so long for this driver to go on trial. But you know what they say justice delayed is justice denied. And a lawyer friend of ours always said the longer you can postpone a trial the more likely people go softer on the criminal 4951

I just want to clarify, we don't have anything that says Jagger denies responsibility. We are going by some random poster putting blame in other places.Jagger may very well have accepted responsibility and be working towards making better choices. I would like to think so. 4951

Just read this thread for the first time. So many strong emotions and such pain. Also such entitlement and cluelessness.
My two cents: 1. total tragedy all around - every single person involved made life changing mistakes.
2. The point of mistakes and tragedies are to learn from them. I see no evidence of that.
3. There is nothing wrong for a community to know the dispensation of a case. If there is true remorse and learning, the answer would be provided without all the histrionics.
4. I actually feel sorriest for the clerk whose life was changed just by doing his job. 4951
